Preregistration Set for Kindergarten
Kindergarten preregistration begins next month for all children eligible this fall in the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
To be eligible, children must be 5 on or before Dec. 2. No appointments are necessary for early registration.
“We will take people on a walk-in basis from now until August,” said Judy Hare, an assistant in the district’s elementary education department. “But the schools are expecting people between March 12-16, and it makes for more efficient registration.”
To preregister, parents need to bring verification of the child’s age, proof of residence and the child’s immunization record. Parents are encouraged to check with a physician to verify that the child has had all required immunizations.
Children who haven’t had the necessary immunizations by the first day of school, Aug. 29, will not be allowed to attend. For information, call 497-9511.
