Barnes & Noble.com to Offer Free Shipping

Barnes & Noble.com Inc. said it will ship orders of two or more items to U.S. customers free in response to a similar offer recently begun by its larger rival Amazon.com Inc. Corporate customers using the company’s Fatbrain.com unit also will get free shipping.
No. 1 online retailer Amazon.com began shipping two or more items free June 20 and raised prices on some items. Barnes & Noble.com said it is not raising prices.
New York-based Barnes & Noble.com fell 19 cents to $1.44 on Nasdaq.
