Driver in Fatal Accident Charged With Murder

A man accused of killing a fourth-year UCLA Medical School student in a drunk driving accident has been charged with second-degree murder, Los Angeles Police Det. Jim Deaton said Tuesday.
Antuan Hakobian, 26, of Simi Valley was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence in connection with the July 9 accident. His BMW crashed into a Nissan Sentra driven by Sukey Egger, 32, on Sepulveda Boulevard near Valley Meadow Road.
Egger died Saturday at UCLA Medical Center. Hakobian is being held without bail at North County Correctional Facility in Castaic.
