Experience Bars Him From Top Prison Job

Sherman P. Hawkins thinks his 28 years in the penal system--all of it behind bars--qualifies him to run the Montana Department of Corrections.
Hawkins, who is serving a life-plus-37-years sentence for murdering his first wife, noted on his resume that the matter of his incarceration would have to be resolved before he could get to work.
Despite arguing that his prison time has given him invaluable insight, he was not a finalist.
