Quote From Felipe Is a Real Alou-lou
I certainly hope Felipe Alou was misquoted in Ross Newhan’s column [June 1] when he supposedly questioned his chances of landing another managerial job. After being the Expos’ manager for over nine years, quite a feat of longevity in today’s world of managerial revolving doors, and having had the Dodgers’ job for the taking, it is disingenuous for him to be concerned over whether there will be any opportunities for a “black man with a losing record.”
Felipe Alou is anything but a victim and to suggest otherwise is disgraceful.
