Feeling Eminem’s Anger

I want to commend the feature on Eminem (“Strength in Numbers,” by Robert Hilburn, June 13). It showed he’s really not an incarnation of Lucifer as claimed by so many hysterical people.

I was among a small minority who found last year’s album interesting because I tend to relate to some of his anger. I was an abused child who lived for years with the type of anger the young guy talks about. As a parent, I understand the concerns of many, but it’s impossible for those who haven’t been abused to understand the depth of the anger and the need to express it after years of torture.
