Evenflo Recalls Infant Car Seats
Evenflo Co. is recalling 3.4 million car seats that double as infant carriers because the handle can snap off, flipping the child onto the ground and inflicting serious injury.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission cited 97 reports of injuries, including skull fractures, concussions and a broken leg.
The recall involves all Evenflo Joyride car seats; the name is on the outside of the handle lock. Model numbers begin with 203, 205, 210, 435 or 493 and can be found underneath or on the side of the car seat carrier.
To receive a free repair kit, call Evenflo at (800) 557-3178.
