One of two men convicted of a series of daylight sexual attacks on women in Central Park after a parade last year was sentenced to up to four years in prison.
David Garcia, 33, was among the 30 men arrested after a “wilding” spree at the June 11 Puerto Rican Day parade. Dozens of women were doused with water, groped and sexually abused. Sixteen men pleaded guilty; charges against 11 others were dismissed.
State Supreme Court Justice Bernard Fried said he wanted the “sentence to be a clear deterrent. We do not tolerate this.”
