Alioto to Run Again for Secretary of State

Michaela Alioto, an heir to the San Francisco-based political dynasty, announced Wednesday that she will make a second attempt to become California’s secretary of state next year.
Alioto, 33, was the Democratic candidate for the office in 1998 but lost to Republican Bill Jones by less than 90,000 votes of the 8 million votes cast.
