6 Teens Arrested in Car Burglaries

Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies said they arrested six teenage skinheads Wednesday believed to be members of a Canyon Country gang responsible for a number of car burglaries and incidents of racial intimidation.
David Eugene Lampman, 18, and five minors ages 16 and 17, will be arraigned today, said Sgt. Katherine Voyer of the sheriff’s Hate Crimes Unit.
The youths are suspected of burglarizing or vandalizing hundreds of cars and setting off 22 explosive devices in the area in the past year, Voyer said. Although most of the explosions were “practice runs,” some were used to intimidate minorities, Voyer said.
Voyer said no one was seriously injured.
