Three men were arrested Tuesday night after allegedly kidnapping two people in Canoga Park and demanding ransom from the victims’ family and friends, police said.
Benjamin Paul Huette, 22, of Hacienda Heights; Alfred Gonzalez, 20, of Pacoima; and Federico Herrera, 29, of Los Angeles, are being held at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division Jail in lieu of $1 million bail each, Officer Jason Lee said.
The three suspects allegedly kidnapped a 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man at gunpoint at the Red Lion Hotel on Sherman Way in Canoga Park and threatened to kill them unless their ransom demands were met, Lee said.
