Britons Show That the Force Is With Them

Centuries after King Arthur, a new type of knight is wandering Britain--and Luke Skywalker would be proud.
Many Britons, asked their religious affiliation on the 2001 census forms, are writing in “Jedi Knight,” apparently in response to an anonymous e-mail campaign, government officials said.
Jedi Knights are the warriors who battle evil through the ages in the “Star Wars” movies.
Government officials said they don’t know how many people gave the response, because the forms are still being tallied, but there were enough to give Jedi Knight its own code, a spokesman said.
