No. 13 Fountain Valley (5-0) vs. No. 22 Los Alamitos (3-2) at Long Beach Veterans Stadium, tonight at 7.

Fountain Valley has only one victory against Los Alamitos since 1976--a 34-27 upset in 1999--but is a slight favorite. Fountain Valley is coming off an impressive 45-14 victory over Trabuco Hills, which seemed sound defensively after shutting out Villa Park the week before. Los Alamitos is two weeks removed from its first two-game losing streak since 1991, but quarterback Tim Bessolo seems to be settling into the Griffins’ passing offense, having thrown for 1,162 yards and 10 touchdowns.
