Walt Disney Co. is delaying opening the 5,760-room Pop Century hotel at Disney World in Orlando, Fla., until consumer demand for leisure travel returns, the company said. The first 2,880-room phase of the pop-culture-themed hotel was scheduled to open in March 2002 but the opening was postponed indefinitely.
