Drug Expert Invited to Conference in Mexico

An Oxnard woman has been invited to attend a working conference in Mexico City about the war on drugs.
Sharon O’Hara, president of the California Council on Alcohol Policy, will attend the fourth U.S.-Mexico Bi-National Drug Demand Reduction Conference in mid-November.
The event will bring together researchers, community leaders, educators and health professionals to explore ways of strengthening collaboration between the two countries to fight drug smuggling.
O’Hara, an expert in the field of substance abuse, is advisor to Oxnard’s community-based Responsible Alcohol Policy Action Coalition.
