Aid for Insurers

Re “As Risks Soar, Insurers Seek Washington’s Help,” news analysis, Oct. 15: The insurance industry wants me to pay a premium for insurers to assume the risk of damage to my house from terrorism and they want me to pay them, through my taxes, more of my money so that if I have a loss I, in fact, will be the one assuming the risk.
If they can’t stand the heat, let them get out of the kitchen. The government can take over their industry. They will yell socialism if that happens, but better socialism than making them the greatest welfare queens in our history.
