First Transatlantic Trip for Concorde Since Crash

A supersonic Concorde left John F. Kennedy International Airport after arriving three hours earlier on the plane’s first transatlantic flight since a crash killed 113 people.
The flight left Heathrow Airport with 100 British Airlines employees as its only passengers.
The airline had conducted two test flights over the Atlantic, but this was the first crossing. Regular flights on the London-New York route will resume Nov. 9. Air France will resume Concorde service between Paris and New York on Nov. 7.
