Woman Jailed After Ex-Husband Is Shot

A Simi Valley woman shot her ex-husband in the back as he attempted to flee her apartment and then fired several shots at the Woodland Hills man while chasing him through her Los Angeles Avenue complex, authorities said.
Juanetta Dunlap, 51, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder after the shooting, which occurred about 8:40 p.m. Thursday at the Woodside Apartments.
Dunlap was treated at Los Robles Regional Medical Center for overdosing on a medication and then transferred to Ventura County Jail, said Sgt. Bob Gardener of the Simi Valley Police Department. She was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Anthony Thomas, 45, was taken to Simi Valley Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
