The booklet “13 Steps to Finding Rental Housing That Accepts Pets: A Guide for Pet Owners” is now available from the Humane Society of the United States.
Among the suggestions are: Start looking at least six weeks before a lease expires; get pets-welcome housing lists from the local humane society or real estate agents; and be prepared to pay a little extra for a pet deposit.
