Caffrey Resigns at Calvary Chapel High

John Caffrey resigned as football coach and athletic director at Downey Calvary Chapel High on Sept. 6, citing personal differences with the administration.
Caffrey led the Grizzlies to a 17-6 record in his two seasons as coach. Steve Clark, the school’s highly successful wrestling coach, took over as football coach.
