Police arrested a man and seized a .38-caliber revolver early Monday after a two-hour standoff at a Harrison Street home in Ventura.
Javier Lopez, 40, was booked on suspicion of making terrorist threats, brandishing a handgun, being a felon in possession of a handgun, and domestic-violence battery, police said.
Police said officers received a 911 call just before midnight Sunday saying that Lopez was threatening his wife and other family members with a gun.
Shortly after police officers arrived, family members fled the home. Officers surrounded the house and negotiated with Lopez, who surrendered.
