El Camino Real Gets Top Spot for Tennis Playoffs

Two-time defending champion Woodland Hills El Camino Real has earned the top seeding in the City Section boys’ tennis playoffs that begin Tuesday.
El Camino Real (10-0, 8-0), the West Valley League champion, has beaten Granada Hills for the City title the last two seasons and is the No. 1 team in the new 12-team City Championship division.
Palisades (10-1, 8-0) is seeded No. 2, followed by No. 3 Granada Hills (8-2, 4-2), which has lost only to El Camino Real, and No. 4 Eagle Rock.
Reseda Cleveland is top-seeded in the City Invitational division.
The top four teams in each division will receive first-round byes, with second-round matches to be played May 2. The finals are May 10 at Balboa Sports Center.
