Right-hander Chris Scott struck out 11 and gave up eight hits to lead Woodland Hills West over Stockton, 6-4, in the second round of the American Legion baseball state tournament at Yountville.
Woodland Hills West, which plays Yolo today, is guaranteed a berth in the West regional.
Two errors helped Woodland Hills West take a 2-0 lead in the second inning.
Sam Donabedian’s single in the eighth inning scored Scott and Jesse Michel for a 6-2 lead.
Scott was three for four and scored three runs.
