Pepperdine, Gonzaga Are WCC Coaches’ Picks

Pepperdine and Gonzaga, which shared the West Coast Conference regular-season basketball title last season, were picked to do so again in 2002-03 by a recent vote of conference coaches.
Both teams earned four first-place votes.
Loyola Marymount was picked to finish seventh ahead of Portland. San Francisco was third and San Diego fourth.
