Afghan Women

After reading of the desperate plight of the women of Afghanistan and seeing from photographs how attractive many of them are now that they are shedding their burkas, I would like to suggest a solution to the problem (Jan. 8). Let all the emancipated Western democracies issue emigrant visas to all young, single women under the age of 24 so that they can leave Afghanistan and start new lives in their host countries.
Their youth would enable them to adapt to the change of environment and culture and they would find husbands who would not treat them like pariah dogs. When Afghanistan is eventually bereft of the female sex then perhaps this would serve as a catalyst for change in that society.
