Home Sales, Prices Hit Southland Record

Southern California homes posted record sales and prices in May, according to a report released by DataQuick Information Systems Inc.
Median prices in the six-county region jumped nearly 17% from a year earlier to a record $264,000, the La Jolla consulting firm said.
Sales climbed 19% to 32,968, the highest level since June 1989, DataQuick said.
