Chouinard Is Out Indefinitely

Mighty Duck center Marc Chouinard, who injured his left shoulder against Minnesota on Feb. 27, suffered a torn muscle and nerve damage, and there is no timetable for his return.
Chouinard injured his shoulder in a collision with Minnesota’s Matt Johnson. Team officials initially said Chouinard had a strained shoulder, but downgraded his condition this week.
“The nerves are the thing the doctors are worried about,” Chouinard said. “They don’t know how much time it’s going to take really. It hasn’t improved in the last week. So at least one week more, maybe two.”
Coach Bryan Murray wasn’t so optimistic, saying Chouinard shouldn’t rush back.
