After reading “Clones, Free Love and UFOs” (March 5) I have to ask myself if we are entering a mini-Dark Age.
When a “religious” movement can cause any kind of debate at all within the Congress of the most advanced technological country in the world, I get a little frightened. As Michael West, chief executive of Advanced Cell Technology, wondered, why is our government listening to a person “who says he flies around in flying saucers”?
I’m not very politically active, but if I find that my elected representatives are part of this travesty I will do my best to give them some other hobby come voting time.
