Woman, 70, Hit, Killed as She Crosses Street

A 70-year-old Garden Grove woman was hit by a car and killed Monday evening while crossing a street, police said.
Minh Thi Nguyen was walking south across Atlanta Avenue, east of Delaware Street, about 9 p.m., when she was struck, said Lt. JB Hume. She was not in a crosswalk, he said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not cited, Hume said. The investigation continues.
