‘Barbershop’ Heads the Weekend Pack

MGM, which has been battered by a string of box-office flops in recent months, clipped the competition as “Barbershop,” an urban comedy starring Ice Cube, premiered at No. 1 with $20.6 million in ticket sales.
“My Big Fat Greek Wedding” grossed $10.8 million for second place, followed by “One Hour Photo,” with $8 million, “Swimfan,” with $6.1 million, and the new Tom Green comedy “Stealing Harvard,” with $6 million.
