3 Airlines Adding Flights in West, Beyond

Several airlines plan new service on the West Coast and beyond:
* Horizon Air will fly nonstop three times a day between Long Beach and Seattle starting Oct. 6; introductory round-trip fares, which must be ticketed by Oct. 5, start at $198. On Dec. 15 it will begin daily, year-round nonstop service between LAX and Sun Valley, Idaho; advance-purchase round-trip fares begin at $376. On Dec. 21 it will begin daily seasonal nonstop service between LAX and Bozeman, Mont., near Big Sky Resort, through March 22; introductory round-trip fares begin at $278.
* United Express will fly nonstop three times a day between Palm Springs and Denver, starting Dec. 13, in 50-passenger Canadair jets. The schedule will be reduced in summer, United said.
* Aloha Airlines will begin nonstop service between Honolulu and Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, starting Dec. 9. The six-hour flight will be offered twice a week through April, then weekly through September on Boeing 737-700 jets.
