From Times Wire Reports
British explorer David Hempleman-Adams has become the first person to walk to the geomagnetic North Pole solo, his spokeswoman said.
Hempleman-Adams, 47, dragged a sled containing his equipment and supplies almost 300 miles in three weeks and had to climb and rappel through the hazardous terrain, which included ice cliffs and glaciers.
The geomagnetic North Pole marks the northern end of the magnetic field that surrounds the earth. It is north of Qaanaaq in northwestern Greenland.
