* Solo Cup Co., a closely held maker of plastic and paper cups and plates, agreed to acquire competitor SF Holdings Group Inc. and its Sweetheart Cup unit for an undisclosed amount.
* Frontier Airlines Inc. said it had become the first U.S. airline to repay a post-Sept. 11 loan from the government. Frontier said it used the $70-million loan to help its fleet expansion.
* Hospital owner and operator Tenet Healthcare Corp., entangled in probes into its medical billing practices, said it had hired E. Peter Urbanowicz as its general counsel. Urbanowicz, 39, has been deputy general counsel of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since 2001.
