Laffit of Strength

T.J. Simers’ column on the greatness of Laffit Pincay [Jan. 30] was marvelous. In an age where sports is nearing ruinous conditions due to steroid abuse, cheating, violence toward officials, etc., the ever-growing legacy of this athlete shines like a beacon in the darkening storm.
If only we could find someone with that combination of talent, integrity, dedication and commitment to write for Page 2.
