Lake Drowning Was Accidental, Police Say

A man who was found in the north fishing lake of Mile Square Regional Park on July 3 drowned accidentally, police said.
The name of the 59-year-old Westminster man will be released after relatives are notified, or within 30 days, said sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino.
The man, dressed in a shirt, pants and shoes and carrying a wallet, had been floating in the lake at the Fountain Valley park since at least 10 a.m. that day, Amormino said.
The body was recovered about 2:45 p.m.
