Morgan Says SEC Probing Fund Sales

U.S. securities regulators are investigating Morgan Stanley’s mutual fund sales practices, the Wall Street investment bank said a day after Prudential Securities Inc. was fined over its own fund sales.
Morgan Stanley, based in New York, said the Securities and Exchange Commission probe began April 29. It did not say which practices the SEC is investigating but said it was cooperating with the SEC and other regulatory agencies.
