Busting borders

How wonderfully appropriate (and perhaps not coincidental) that an article on the experiencing of art (“Putting Art on the Couch,” by Lauren Sandler, July 13) and a brief report on recent performances by Clowns Without Borders (“A Little Seltzer and Simpatico,” July 13) should appear next to one another. The clowns provided a wonderful example supporting Darian Leader’s explanation of art dissolving borders. If only we could send them to Baghdad and Jerusalem.
