Council to Consider Reward in Homicide

The City Council is set to vote Tuesday on whether to contribute most of a $10,000 reward to help solve the Jan. 6 slaying of a tow truck driver.
Sheriff’s Cmdr. Keith Parks, police chief in Thousand Oaks, said family members of the victim, Jordan Daniel Le Grand, 23, donated $2,000.
Parks is asking the city to provide the balance of the fund for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
Le Grand was found shot in the chest in a room he rented in the 1500 block of Pederson Road, off California 23.
Parks said the city last offered a reward, for $10,000, in a homicide case six years ago, when bank teller Monica Leech, a 39-year-old mother of two, was handcuffed and executed during a takeover robbery.
