L.A. Awards Contract to Repair Sewers

The city of Los Angeles has awarded a $900,000 contract to repair sewers in North Hollywood damaged in the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
The project involves excavation, shoring up and in some cases replacing damaged sewers as well as restoring house connections.
The sewers covered under the effort are in an area bounded by Victory Boulevard on the north, Magnolia Boulevard on the south, Clybourn Avenue on the east and Colfax Avenue on the west.
It will be paid for in part by funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the governor’s Office of Emergency Services.
