Driver Injures Jogger, Is Held as DUI Suspect

A 49-year-old San Clemente jogger is recovering from head injuries after she was struck by a suspected drunk driver Saturday morning, Newport Beach police said.
Julia Maria Nash, 55, of Irvine was being held on suspicion of felony drunk driving after hitting the jogger at East Bluff Drive and Vista Del Oro at 8:15 a.m., Police Lt. Jim Kaminsky said.
Her bail was set at $25,000.
The unidentified jogger was being treated at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
