Corona Man Dies in Collision in O.C.

Newport Beach police are investigating the death of a motorcyclist who collided with a car making a left turn from Superior Avenue to Ticonderoga Street on Saturday afternoon.
The motorcyclist, Alvaro Pereira, 38, of Corona, was traveling north on Superior when he crashed into a sedan turning east onto Ticonderoga.
Pereira, who was wearing a full face helmet, suffered major head injuries and died at the scene.
Police Sunday did not identify the car’s driver nor say whether charges would be filed.
