Re “Mass Weddings Fulfilling Dreams,” May 19: What a joyous relief to read about the Santa Ana priest, Father Bill Barman, who annually holds classes and ceremonies for those wanting to be married in the Catholic Church, particularly on the heels of so much scandal and unhappiness connected with the church during the past year. Hats off to this truly kind man and his crew of volunteers for not only performing the ceremony in grand style but also footing the bill for the reception. Father Barman takes his role seriously as the “shepherd of his flock.”
