Ducks Are Hot, but Don’t Take It Out on Luc

I was really upset by a remark made by the Ducks’ Adam Oates in Chris Foster’s article “He’s in Right Place; Is It Right Time?” [May 20]. Adam said, “Look at Luc Robitaille, he went to Detroit, played five minutes a game and got his ring.”
Adam really should not talk about other players like that, especially not a California favorite like Luc. When the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup last season, Luc played in 81 games for them, scored 30 goals and had 20 assists -- and in the playoffs he scored four goals and had five assists.
Everyone knows Luc would have loved to win one for the Kings. The Kings did wrong by Luc and he went elsewhere.
