Council OKs 2% Raise for Still-Angry Workers

The Fresno City Council has voted to give city employees a raise after 18 months of contract negotiations, but the employees remain unhappy.
The Fresno City Employees Assn., one of the city’s largest unions, was seeking a 3% raise, not the 2% that the City Council had approved. Union members rejected that offer in August.
