Six women in their 40s and 50s just returned from kayaking and camping at a waterfront site at Park Moabi Campground on the Colorado River near Needles, Calif. We paddled upriver until we got hungry. After a picnic we floated back to our beach. Fall’s still warm, and crowds are gone.
