Man Held After Wife’s Body Found in Trunk

Police on Monday found a dead woman in the trunk of a car in her garage, shortly after relatives reported her missing.
The woman’s husband was arrested soon after at a Nevada casino and will be charged with murder, said Sgt. Paul LeBaron.
Relatives from out of town had expected to see Debra Ashlock, 46, over the weekend. After stopping by her home repeatedly, they notified police, LeBaron said.
Ashlock’s body was found Monday afternoon in a routine search of her home in the 3400 block of Hathaway Avenue, he said. The Nevada Highway Patrol arrested her husband, Richard Benn, 48, after her relatives tracked him down at a casino near the state line, LeBaron said.
Police had been to the couple’s house previously, responding to domestic violence complaints, LeBaron said.
