Reforms Proposed That Could Increase City Fees

To head off a potential $300-million budget shortfall next year, the city administrative officer proposed reforms Tuesday that could lead to higher fees for city services.
Bill Fujioka proposed that all fees be reviewed and revised to reflect the actual cost of providing services and suggested that the city no longer waive fees for the city’s cost of controlling traffic at for-profit events.
