Priest Gets 1 Year in Jail for Molesting Girl

A visiting Mexican priest was sentenced to one year in county jail Tuesday for fondling a teenager during a confession in August.
Avdon Serratos, 32, was also placed on probation for five years and ordered to register as a sex offender. He pleaded no contest in December to committing a lewd act on the 15-year-old girl.
The Roman Catholic priest fondled and kissed the girl as she was confessing her sins to him at a friend’s home in Reseda, authorities said.
