Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. said the editor in chief of TV Guide, the top-selling weekly magazine in the U.S., resigned after 15 months on the job.
Michael Lafavore will remain with the magazine for several weeks, TV Guide said. Senior staff members will run the publication after his departure until a new editor in chief is named.
The company declined to comment on why Lafavore resigned, and Lafavore didn’t return a call seeking comment.
Shares of Los Angeles-based Gemstar fell 1 cent to $5.58 on Nasdaq.
