The city has been fined again for its sewage treatment plant.
The Regional Water Quality Control Board said Pismo Beach must pay an additional $735,000 for multiple violations at the city plant. It’s the third penalty in the last few years, the result of a 2000 law mandating $3,000 fines every time there is a violation.
The first two fines amounted to $132,000.
